Founded in Houston, Texas in 1995,

the African Overseas Union (AOU) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to recognizing excellence, preserving African heritage, and celebrating outstanding individuals of African descent through the prestigious Grand Commander Order of Kilimanjaro (GCOK). For nearly three decades, AOU has united Africans, African Americans, and the global African diaspora in promoting leadership, culture, and service to humanity.
